Re: Mass murder at a Church kills 32

This site provides an indication of just how under reported attacks on Christians are in the mainstream media. Very few of these have I seen anything about in the mainstream media. It seems it isn't politically correct to cover such vicious tragedies against Christians but it is when it is the othe...

Re: Earthquake in East Texas

Didn't notice anything, but I'm about 105 miles away though. Went through a 6.+ in Turkey once at about the same distance. That made things sway a bit and made me feel queasy. Went through several 2s - 4s in Japan and Ca. and a 3 in Me. They were just noticeable at 20-40 miles. A 3 in Japan was almo...

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

I think "Beto's" main purpose for running is to try to get the VP nomination. He got a sizable following in Texas and could help any other dem. try to carry the state. He's also got millions of campaign dollars left to contribute to the cause. The dems will go all out to flip our state.

Re: TX: The mean interstate near Waco

I have been the victim of overpass killers twice (once in Iowa and once in Tx) and saw the results of others west of Chicago and northern Maine. I now try to change lanes in underpasses if traffic permits. Also try to gauge what the potential threat is by the amount of traffic overhead. Hours of dar...

You forgot to mention the annual "BugTussle Trek" with it's parade of antique/special cars through the area.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

I could see Trump declaring an emergency and rather than starting with a wall as that takes time. Jumping on diverting funds for border protection and deportation. If there were sweeping increases in raids and deportations the Dems would wake up real quick. With all the money spent on the Departmen...

Re: Talk with the kids

My grand daughter has gotten so used to it that she looks for the "the signs" when we are going into a place. If she sees one that might apply she says "Grampy, you may have to go back to the truck".

Re: Where to begin with a HAM radio?

https://w5wx.net/2018/12/28/texas-legislature-sb43/ Couldn't find a better post to put this under. Looks like Senator Zaffirini has filed a bill that would change the "texting while driving" law to outlaw ham radio operation while the vehicle is in motion. This would definitely affect Skywarn storm...

Very well stated. Glad he kept the language to acceptable standards so the clip can be used openly.

Re: Incredible account of Parkland shooting

The only positive response was by the Coral Springs Police. I wonder if they were delayed by the inept sheriff's department. That whole sheriff's department needs to be fired and prosecuted for dereliction of duty. Their peace officer certificates invalidated. Wonder how their oath of office reads? ...

Re: Who has a Gander Outdoors store near them?

Used to have a Gander Mtn 30 miles away in Sherman, Tx. They were over priced and understaffed. None of the new places are within reasonable driving distance (80 miles to Ft Worth and 88 miles to Tyler)

Student evicted for having a gun

A Harvard student is being evicted after her apartment mates (illegally) searched her room and found her gun. Why? Because she's from Alabama and has a MAGA hat.
"They felt uncomfortable with a gun in the apartment" :mad5 :mad5 :mad5
