Re: TTPD officer killed...

Suing a then 19 year old for 1 mil.? Is he a trust fund kid? My understanding is his parents are local well-to-do, but I don't think they are stupendously wealthy. The mother is a travel writer and the father comes from a long-time Seguin family that had a chain of theaters, but sold them in the 90...

Re: PG&E Cutting Power

My brother lives out in commieland and has had power off since Tuesday. He believes in 2A for him but nobody else. Go figure. As soon as I can reach him I want to know how that Tesla is doing. Charges pretty good by solar power ? Heh. Hope he has his own solar panel set up. California encourages pe...

One thing I can't help but do when I watch a video like this is wonder what would I have done in this situation. She came out of nowhere at him. Even if he were carrying concealed he would ...

Only 7 years? Why wasn’t that attempted murder?
She was charged with several crimes, attempted murder being one of them. She plead guilty to 2nd degree assault, so I assume there was a plea bargain.

Re: OR: Knife attack nets 7 years.

What's the back story? She just randomly slashed the guy? Whoops, I left out a link. I put it in the OP. LightningRocks summed it up, she was yelling at the counter help, and the customer told her to chill. Unfortunately he didn't think to keep his guard up, she got a knife from her car, and escala...

Re: Officer Invades Apartment, Shoots Resident

... If he didn't have any arrests I don't think they would know. I Bing'ed his name for Texas arrests, turns out "Joshua Brown" is a VERY popular name under which to be arrested. Too many for me to sort through. I don't know the laws in Texas, but usually the attorney can impeach a witness if they ...

Re: TX: Company removes unpaid GPS tracker from Cap Murder defendant

The defendant is supposed to charge it, but it doesn't look like he incurred any penalty for not doing so, so why bother?

Re: PG&E Cutting Power

Not understanding the motivation for the stupid policies of Sacramento, and the idiots that vote them into office, why on earth would the harvesting of dead and diseased timber be looked at as a bad thing? I believe the reason is that the dead timber should be allowed to rot and return to the soil ...

Re: PG&E Cutting Power

IIRC, California also capped the rates that utilities could charge consumers for electricity, because their new "renewable" sources of energy are costly to implement, and not so reliable, and rates were going up fast. However costs are not capped. Exacerbating it, when instate electricity production...
