Stay tuned in kids! I was want to tell you all that a window to shoot could occur today. I just couldn't be sure, beforehand.
Hey, this is Texas, and about as informative as I can be is to say that we beat the forecast from the NWS, about 90 miles WSW of us in San Angelo, to get the important stuff ...

Re: Where the Democratic candidates stand on the issues
The three highest priorities of the demo-commie party: 1. Anti-Christ; 2. Anti-Gun; 3. Cow-towing to the Peoples Republic of China. And if you haven't seen China's latest military technology lately, prepare yourself for a shock. Most of it looks like it was designed for them by US Manufacturers. And ...

Re: Glock Killer ?
Just a get Canik and thank me later. A SAR9 is even an excellent pistol for less.
I am biased I never liked the Glocks
Hopefully I suggested as much. I can't speak for all of the Turk manufacturers, but Canik and Sarsilmaz are pretty solid. I also owned the SARGUN 9 that had a very good recoil ...

Re: Glock Killer ?
One thing that looms large for the Glocks is the after-market. It's most likely only second to the 1911 in terms of add-ons to personalize it for the individual shooter. Most of my 9mm Glock experience has come with the G19s my shooting partner has carried for years.

Re: Need Hornady Data for 6.5 Creedmoor
Since my last post here I took delivery of 8# of Norma URP. Haven't bought a rifle yet and not even sure it will be 6.5 CM when I do. I have come up with a Wildcat of my own. If I go into all of the expense to develop it myself it will be proprietary. What I'm mostly interested in is the best ...

Re: Texas "10 acre" rule for discharging a firearm outside of city limits?
Can anyone point me to the section of law that restrictions discharging a firearm on your own property, outside of city limits, unless you are on more than 10 acres?
I am seeing this cited in random websites and forums, but no actual source to back it up.
I'm in Harris County, outside of any ...

Re: Texas "10 acre" rule for discharging a firearm outside of city limits?
Last time I checked with the TX Dept of Wildlife, statewide, the minimum is 5 acres with counties having the ability to raise the minimum. For instance, here in Brown Co. the requirement is 10 Acres. When in doubt, ask a Game Warden! ;-)
I'm unable to find the law that says that. Are you ...

Try enlarging the text size several sizes. I push and hold down CTRL, while tapping +/= . On my computer, this makes the

Re: .357" 158 gr. XTP
Made more loads yesterday and went up to Lyman's 17.0 gr. Max Charge that chrono'd 1309 FPS from their 4" Universal Receiver. The load is getting very close to 100% load density and I'm hoping the higher charge will get velocity near to the factory load level.

Re: .357 Magnum Revolver recommendations
You're in luck: You can get a Ruger GP100 with a 5" barrel. We just started shooting my shooting partners S&W 686+ 4" 7 - shooter. Never thought I'd be interested in a 7 shot .357 Magnum, but all signs are good at this point. I have a 4" blue GP100 made in 2013 and it's a gem. Really good DA trigger ...

Re: Screenshot of the QAS Q-Model
I'll help navigate the spreadsheet. The top left is where you enter the input data. Some variables related to JHPs are already entered. No changes needed until you change bullet types. Dropping down to diameter, you'll need to enter the average diameter. If you're checking a recovered JHP that ...

Screenshot of the QAS Q-Model
Charles Schwartz graciously granted me permission to post this screenshot of the Q-Model analysis of an experimental load I made with the 124 gr. HST to see if it is capable of matching the performance of the Underwoods 124 gr. +P+ Gold Dot load that TNoutdoors9 sent me for evaluation after firing ...
