Re: Midland PD officer shot and killed. Edited

My sincere condolences to the murdered officers friends family and colleagues. At night homeowner shot at flashlight. I’m going to assume an elderly man. Who set his burglar alarm to Stay went to bed. Another poster has already made my point, but you are making wild, I dare say, one sided assumptio...

Re: Midland PD officer shot and killed. Edited

The whole story hasn't come out yet obviously, but a story I saw said the cops were responding to a residential burglar alarm, not a 911 call. In a town next to mine, LEO's responded to the incorrect house of a residential alarm, shot & killed the home owner in his garage. The killer and his partner...

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray

I do not understand that more than a month after the illegal raid why no charges have been filed. That's easy, It goes something like this .. *clears throat* The law is for thee citizen, not for me, a respected LEO under a cloud of suspicion. Everybody who supervised, who had any kind of responsibi...

Which is worse? A Home Owner getting killed by police in his own home? (and the officer not being charged with a crime) Or an officer being killed by a Home Owner protecting his home thinking they were intruders? (Home Owner being charged with manslaughter is being held on a $75,000 bond.)

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray

HPD is about to have a load of bricks fall on them. I read the search warrant for the lead investigators phone and the 'pattern' of his questionable cases. It appears (so far) a hand full of cops knew, or should have known the raid was bogus. The only reason the officer isn't doing a perp walk right...

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray

There will be no consequences, no perp walks, and certainly no LEO's will be arrested. If violations of policy are found, they will be allowed to retire and or get suspended with pay for violating any "policy" infraction. From what I've read so far, this stinks. It's nothing more than police sanctio...

If it were me, I would remove the last sentence, it could be twisted into some sort of threat.

Re: TX:7 year old girl murdered in Wallisville in drive by shooting or road rage

Barnes’s family’s lawyer, S. Lee Merritt: Accordingly, this tip was difficult to believe. Assuming the confession elicited is reliable— it is possible the previously identified suspect seen fleeing by several independent witnesses was a bystanader attempting to escape the shooting. - In other words,...

Re: Online Backup Service ?

The online backups are nice, but I agree with another poster, your stuff is out there if one goes that route. I found a 1TB external drive for sale online this morning, for $29. That should be enough space for the average user and your stuff is with you. Sure, a house fire, or other disaster is poss...

Re: Parker County Deputy Shot in Foot

“The only question that’s left to be answered at this point is how it happened. I don’t know and I don’t know that we’ll ever find out,” Fowler said. “That bullet came out of his gun and we established that, so end of story. We’re done. It’s pure speculation on anybody’s part as to how this happened...

I'm not going to guess one way or the other, especially on a public forum. I do know, he hasn't retracted a purposeful and negligent statement, (on a public forum) and that tells me all I need to know.
