I personally favor using a 'pack' in a vehicle, cause it's comfortable and you can draw easily while seated with a seatbelt on.

It's also really nice when you have to go somewhere that you can't take the gun in. You disarm/rearm while maintaining concealment.

Good point. Generally I believe these tests are run from a ~4 or 5 inch barrel. Test results for 45 ACP Federal 230gr Hydra-Shok JHP out of a 3.8inch barrel are here: http://www.firearmstactical.com/test_data/45acp/fed45-230hs-g30.htm Which gives nice results against Bare Gelatin, not as good agains...
