I can't shoot more than maybe an hour there without being drenched in sweat. I'll stop by GT in Dallas and see what they say, sounds fishy. Ruger is not really known for having much dedicated to LEOs anyway. called up GT today, they dont have the sr1911 in stock yet, but he did let me know it's going to be leo sale only. contract with ruger has changed.

I went ahead and emailed yesterday and got a fast response (possibly automated) that said new apps are taking 60 days to process at the moment and i am in the final stages before manufacturing. so basically the same thing others are being told. Manufacturing as of 5/17 Packet sent 3/23 first update...
