How long is the wait for renewed licenses?

Hey guys, new to the forum. Thanks for having me. Here's my situation. DPS got all my 1st time renewal papers first week of September, online status says background, fingerprints still in review and application received. Everything else is green.
What are the wait times now? Anyone else experience this long of a wait for a first time renewal?

mine was just about 4 weeks from submital to receiving new plastic. First time renewal - new online process.

Yeah I took my class on Aug 28th...a few days before it went online process...I should've waited I guess. I guess I might have to call.

Do they still have 45 days for renewals by law? I know they sometimes make up their own rules instead of following the law, but there are enough threads on that.

We got ours before the old ones expired. Why wait 'til the last minute to renew?

This what we did, too. We received our new ones with over a month to spare. Took about 4 weeks from online renewal to mail in hand.

My renewal was the pre-Sep 1st classroom type. paperwork was mailed 7 days prior to Sept 1.
It sat in same stage pending fingerprint and background until I finally called them asking what's up. I was told everything we fine and a message was being sent to some area within the department. I checked two days later and it had changed to pending manufacture. Last night mailed. I think it has been 54 days since I mailed everything.

From date of renewal online to card in hand 6 days got it Friday fastest ever ex Military and LE

I submitted my renewal on 2 June in the evening and it came in the mail on 13 June.

I waited 2 weeks but there was a holiday in there. They had my DD214 on file.

Do you need to be finger printed again for renewal? What do you need to submit for a renewal anyway? Mine wont be due till next year.

You will get a notice about 6 months early
When you go online, at the end of the renewal, it will give you a list of items
For mine (1 month ago) no new photo or prints
Just pay the $40 and got my renewal license in the mail 11 days later
