Now that is something we can agree on. The man will never lose his leftwing California attitudes, no matter how long he lives in Texas.

:iagree:

That Acevedo and the police union leader Gamaldi stood in the shed blood of the officers and used them as a platform to promote gun control is disgusting.

Gamaldi's rhetoric about "getting" people was not helpful to the image of the Houston PD.
Could these homeowners have been highly vocal critics of the HPD because of the drug deals occurring in the street right in front of their property? No implying that they were as I have no knowledge, but it struck me that it might be a question worth asking...

Go to google maps

Enter 7815 Hardy Street - look at House.

Enter 7815 Harding Street - look at House

Early on the Chief said they raided the house because of a tip.

The second house is the one they entered.

So a confidential informant can get you, your wife and your dog killed anywhere in Houston with just a word.

Give it a week, and I'll betcha this turns into a botched raid.

AND LOOK, according to a neighbor, this guy was walking his dog 15 minutes before the raid. Why not cuff him then? David Koresh much?

Who is usually a confidential informant? Not a pillar of society but someone who usually has gotten caught doing something illegal and doesn't want to go to jail. Yeah, just the person who could be believed enough to justify authorizing a no knock raid. 2 weeks worth of investigation and they can't figure out the guys name? Seriously? Shouldn't that be step one? Figure out what/who you are up against?

No knock raids should be against the law.

San Fransisco takes a very small interest in Houston’s police raid.

1) Where is the large quantities of drugs?
2) Where is the tar?
3) What is the white powder?
4) How much Marry was there?
5) Where is the 9mm pistol?
6) What about the Revolver?
7) How many rounds were shot? And, by who?
8) Multiple entries to residence? Who shot first?
9) Who indicated the address?
10) Who is investigating the raid?

I assume there was NO knock on the door and NO Identification of the Police

Finally, let me add. Could said informant ID the seller of the drugs?

Disclaimer: I am not defending any drug dealer or the premise of selling drugs. I despise those criminals maybe the most.

This is the part that makes no sense at all. The raid was supposedly to gather evidence. You would think that they would want video documentation. Unless maybe the officers knew ahead of time, that it could be self-incriminating.

If anyone busts in my door I'm coming out shooting, I read about home invasions and protecting myself and family. I'm not anti police, I back them.

You tube video of other house.

Has the high tech camera system the Police Chief talked about in his press conference. He apparently also gave out this address not the Harding address at the press conference. I remember there was some confusion in the reporting of the address early on.

The house has iron fences and iron bars on every opening plus the YouTuber mentions drug stuff on the ground around the house. It looks like a crack house.
