Director of Prisons assassinated hours before CO gov. signs

The director of Prisons in Colorado was shot to death at his front door hours before the governor signed the new gun laws for Colorado.
His beautiful house was located in the mountains and looked somewhat remote. Apparently a door bell he answered was fatal.
He had recently ruled that a Saudi would have to spend his prison time for slavery in the US rather than in Saudi Arabia.
They really do not have much to go on. Maybe a jogger witnessed a car leaving, but that is about it.
RIP.

He should have designated his property as a gun free zone. He would be alive today if he had taken this one simple measure to ensure his safety.

The shooter was discovered in Montague (pronounce MONN-TAYG) County in North Texas and a big chase and shootout
also went into Wise County (Decatur, Texas).
The BG's organs are set to be harvested, so that may be the only positive thing he ever did for his fellow man.

The above link is a 1 minute, 32 second dashcam video from the Montague County, Texas deputy
who made the traffic stop on the bad guy in Bowie, Texas.
The BG shot the deputy 3 times. 2 rounds hit the bulletproof vest, 1 round grazed his forehead.
The BG sure blasted those 3 rounds off very quickly. The LEO was using the better practice of approaching
from the passenger side, but he got shot anyway.

Do you think he used suppressor? The audio seemed to be running the whole time but no boom's were picked up.
