SB905

Post by Hoosier Daddy »

With campus carry perpetually stalled, can we get SB905 amended to include everyone, or at least people who pay property tax in Texas?

a statewide elected official
At least to Elected County Officials
Perhaps Elected City officials

Our Mayor resigned, one city councilman ran to fill the position; he's unopposed
One guy ran to fill the city council position now vacant ... he ran unopposed
Our early voting is going on this week ... no one is bothering ... we know who will win unopposed

I thought about running for School board ...
Maybe they should be included ...

School crossing guards too ...
Anyone paying taxes (sales tax etc) who is able to legally purchase a firearm... sounds best.

That works for me.

Maybe the politicians who oppose civil rights for mere citizens will allow SB905 to be debated, then we can swap "statewide elected official" and substitute "Texas taxpayer" or even "Texas resident" instead. The amendment would be germane because it's already a concealed carry bill.
