Suarez International has force-on-force class that looks interesting:

http://www.suarezinternational.com/igfdebriefing.html

"INTERACTIVE GUNFIGHTING - FORCE ON FORCE

Ever wonder what you'd do if a psycho with a knife charged at you? Or how you'd really handle a multiple adversary situation?

FIND OUT FOR CERTAIN IN OUR INTERACTIVE GUNFIGHTING TRAINING!!

Interactive Gunfighting is the future of defensive/tactical training. This ground-breaking class was developed and is prsented by Gabe Suarez. This course is Pure CQB Gunfighting Skills, and will connect what you do on the range with what you must do on the street to win a fight.

Typical marksmanship-based gun training leaves many questions unaswered. There is a great deal that you still don't know about street combat if all you've done is shoot paper targets of go an the typical "burglar hunt" in a shoot house. Learn what is missing in typical gun training courses and why its so important that you attend this class. Interactive Gunfighting is pure street reality featuring high intensity, short duration combat at close range againt live human beings with modern force on force technology. It is specifically designed for the private citizen, and focuses on civilian street situations. Learn to defend against a single adversary bent on cutting you with a training knife, as well as against multiple adversaries suddenly drawing guns and firing at you. Learn what it takes to overcome home invaders, takeover robbers, hostage takers and active shooters! In today's environment, everyone has a need to know.

The training is open to ALL civilian students, and is the sort of class you can attend over and over again to maintain your edge!! Fight-focused NOT Gun-focused !!"

And Gabe Suarez has a force-on-force training book to go with it:

They use semi-auto airsoft guns. Looks to be valuable training. I have to admit I've had a few encounters on the street, but have had nothing in the way of force-on-force training.

Has anybody else had any force-on-force training? Airsoft or Simunitions? How useful was it?

when I was with the Sheriff dept. we took this type of training and it has helped me thru my life. It helps me in watching for situation that I or my family don't need to get into and if so how to get out of it in the best way.

I would say if you have a chance you need to take this type of Course.

Force on Force

Nothing short of the real thing can take the place of Force-on-Force training. It is invaluable training. Going through an IDPA stage is fun and instructional, but going through a Force-on-Force shooting-house against an equally proficient adversary with simunitions is priceless.

We used them in the security forces when I had command of one. The training paid off.

I've had force-on-force training through the military and I have to say it really changed my perspective. Even though I knew they were only soap rounds, I couldn't believe the adrenaline rush and increased heart rate I felt. I can't imagine what it feels like to be involved in a real shooting scenario, but I feel that I'm 100x more ready than I was before the school.

through the military here also. Great training and the type of thing that changes you if you pay attention, and is very likely to make the difference between life and death for you and yours.

I haven't had Gabe's FoF class, but I give him high marks for his Close Range Gunfighting course.
