I receive American Rifleman as part of my membership, most of it is cheerleading for the advertisers or even made up hokum so they can say something about a gun or cartridge in one issue and then write about something else in glowing terms in the next issue when the subjects are alike and forgettable.
The only one I actually subscribe to on purpose is Gun Tests, rather similar to Consumer Reports, not Consumer's Digest, which is for sale or rent.
