Shot himself in the neck with a shotgun after firing gun in the air while trying to kick girlfriend out of his house. Of course we would hope they would check the shotgun for the girlfriend's brother's fingerprints.

Must have been a really short shotgun for him to be able to shoot himself in the neck.

It's pretty easy if you accidently put your toe on the trigger. ;-)

I think I read on here, not too long ago, that many shotguns are not drop safe and that they might go off if they're dropped on the buttstock.

That could be one explanation.

Would that every socialist Democrat male would opt to have his surgery performed. LOL

I dropped my Langdon Tactical Beretta Centurion and when I went pick it up it was in the single action position. It was kind of scary. Didn’t scare the gun and mark it up at all. The gun just hit so hard it threw the hammer back.

Yeah, muzzle down is the best way to carry long guns. While I haven't witnessed it myself, I know several people who have seen people die due to dropping a "muzzle up" shotgun... and have read accounts that go back to the frontier days of the same.

Did we have a recent deleted spam post that resurrected this 11-year-old topic? Just curious 'cause I'm not as quick on the uptick as I used to be and I feel like I'm missing something.

As for shotguns, I was taught to always keep those in "cruiser ready" mode: the tube fully charged, but no shell in the chamber.

Caution my previous post that resurrected this Darwin Tread is missing in action. It may have been removed or a glitch occurred. Two previous posts referred to it, so it was visible at some point.

I apologize in advance if it should not have been in Never Again since it does not deal with gun mishaps. Darwin can work in strange ways we never anticipated.

It also may be violating forum rules since it deals with the subject of robotic castration in Oregon so caution if you decide to read it.

Very sad. I did not include the three or four child murders from road rage or drive bys that happened during the same period.

"Dunno, man. But I'm sure bored."
"Wait! I got it! Let's go have a full-sized SUV roll over us! We've never tried that!"
