From the article:

""The pistol contained a 30-round magazine with a live round which was loaded into the chamber ready to be fired," the affidavit said."

A 30 round magazine? What a ding-a-ling!

The University of Texas, is that the same liberal outfit that began taking down their Confederate monuments under cover of darkness on a Sunday night? I don't care if they never win another anything!

He shouldn't have been carrying unlawfully, although a level headed 19 year old (who could be carrying an M16 for his country) with a Glock does not automatically hit any buttons for me.

Anybody taking his Glock out of his waistband to chamber a round while out on the street, that's iffy. Austin monitoring that closely by carmera, probably not a surprise.

Choice of a 30 round mag should be a personal decision, but based on ergonomics I'd have to say it's a far better selection for a rifle than a street-carry pistol.
