I finally finished loading all the .45 ACP Bayou Bullets. I swapped a buddy small rifle primers for large pistol.

Reset my reloader to .308. My son needed, .308 for deer hunting. Cleaned, deprimed, head stamped all the .308 brass that I had in my stock pile. Found the largest collection of the same head stamp. Case gauged with a L E Wilson case gauge, touched the flash hole with a flash hole tool. Weighed each one. Arranged by weight. Discarded several at the low and high weights. Loaded 70 or so. Until I ran out of that head stamp. Keeping them in weight order. Took my son to PSC where he verified the rounds and sighted in another two rifles.

For me.
I loaded the first sample of .223. Test fired through two different rifles. While I was at PSC with my son.

On Wednesday, I received my third can. Purchased in January 2021. Received November 2021. Ruger 10/22 Integral barrel. Installed the barrel and put on new furniture. Tested the reconstructed rifle, as well. I still need to add a scope. Currently using an inexpensive Red Dot.

On Sunday, I updated my powder, primer, and finished ammo, inventory.

Busy week. It's good that I am retired.

Not reloading but reloading-related. I sold a set of handgun dies via eBay and the bidding was insane.

Reloading some 45 ACP tonight. It’s been almost a year since I’ve reloaded anything. Nice to be in the garage with no TV, phones, etc…. in my ear.

Last weekend, My Sako shot less than stellar groups (0.6-1MOA) groups. Yesterday, I found out that the front action screw was gone. I removed the stock to find out the screw sheared off and I had to remove the screw stump from the receiver. I had a spare set of screws. I reassembled the rifle and I also ordered a new set of screws, plus a set of new trigger springs for Saka/Tikka (minimum of 1.5lbs)

had to remove the screw stump from the receiver
Did you have to use any special tools to remove the screw stump?

I started with a punch and drill bit. However, When striking the punch I noticed the stump was freely rotating so I used the punch with light strikes to rotate and unscrew the stump. It was 1/4" or less in length.

I had a similar issue with a screw on a firearm. Not broken but the head was unusable. I ended up using a punch to turn it. But, I don't have tools to remove a broken screw. And, was wondering how others have dealt with a similar issue without seeking professional help.

There are sets of broken screw "bits". I am not certain if they work on hardened steel screws for firearms though.

I was wondering what was wrong because in the pic you posted previously it wasn't a bug-hole group like you usually do. Glad you found the issue :)

the
Thanks. It is more things I had to correct with this SAKO. The first thing that failed was the bolt stop/release. Next was the receiver screw. I never had an issue with my Tikka T3. No wonder SAKO A7 is no more in production. Tikka T3 is more than enough at a bit lower cost.

Finally reworked the reloading room. I bought the hobo freight work bench and found a Kobalt rolling tool chest on clearance (it was a display model so got 10% off plus my military discount) to store all the stuff away. I added the Inline Fabrication mount for the press (I'm waiting on quick change adapters for my Rock Chucker press and will add one for a vise) and the storage boxes. My AMP annealer is hidden on top of the Kobalt tool chest. In the corner of the room you can see my power conditiober/surge protector I won for $10 from the City of Friendswood auction. It's an older model but it's heavy duty and I like to use a power conditioner on my scales. Later this year my AutoTrickler V3 will be in and I definitely want it on that.
