Outlook Email - Converting Mac back to .pst

Since I just did it and found out how to avoid buying any software, I thought I would offer the advice to anyone else who needs it. After searching several forums and finding out that Microsoft does not allow a direct conversion of the Mac back to a PST file, the following worked for me:

1) Set up the work exchange email on the Mac and allowed it to sync.
2) Moved all of the old email into a temporary folder on the Mac.
3) Moved the tempoary folder to the exchange folder
4) let time pass for to sync back to the server.
5) Open up the work exchange email on the computer running Windows
6) let more time pass to sync the folders
7) verify data on both computers
8) disable both email accounts on the Mac.
9) Give the Mac back to the kids who know how to use it.

There maybe a way to to it without an exchange server, but this was the first option I tried with success.
