For neck knives I am a fan of the ESEE Izula, it has a sheath that holds it securely, but is quickly deployed when needed. I got one for my daughter who is an RN. Since her employer won't allow carrying firearms.
I wrapped the handle in paracord to ensure a secure grip.

I grabbed a SOG Instinct. pretty nice little blade. belt clip can be mounted horizontal vertical or diagonal. i keep it about 1 o clock with the handle facing right. i can grab it in my right hand (my weak hand) or i can grab it with my left in a reverse grip if needed. and i keep a double action OTF in my back left pocket as a back up just in case.

Google MTECH USA MT-673 Fixed Stainless Steel Blade. A neck knife for about 8 bucks - can't beat it.
