I saw this this morning, and I admit that I don't understand it.
The Catholic church sent emissaries to President Bush (prior to him putting us in Iraq) and informed him that going into Iraq would be an unjust war. The Church has called for peace over and over again. Also, generally speaking, the Fathers do not preach politics from the pulpit. So, what confuses me is that the "Catholic Schoolgirls" are protesting against the wrong authority. They and the Church are on the same side, albeit with extremely different ways of demonstrating their ideologies.
I do not condone the actions of the "Catholic Schoolgirls", and it is made especially disquieting by taking place on Easter.

How ironic it is that "peace protesters" seem to be so prone to violence.
