How would this compare to the Henry Dark 38/357 - https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/70412
That one already come with the XS rail and extra round capacity.
The Dark has a 16.25” barrel. The X model looks like it has an 18” barrel. If so, it would develop slightly higher velocities. Also, I don’t believe there’s a substantial handiness penalty for the 1.75” longer barrel.

XS Sight Systems makes a rail for Marlins. I have one on my 336BL. I’d be surprised if they weren’t working on one to fit Henrys.

Looks like Henry already has a picatinny rail for Big Boy rifles

Now if the rifles would actually show up somewhere so I can buy one!
Well there you go!

Henry - 17.4” barrel, 7 mag capacity, has pic rail and mloks on fore end.
Marlin - 16.25”, 8 rd mag, has XS rail and sights, sling, but no other attachment points on front.
I guess we’ll see what the street price will be for these and how they compare.
