Back to the topic at hand, Cruz' epic photo picking up Shiner Bock at a Buccee's stop yesterday has gotten some pretty good publicity returns, particularly in relation to Robert O's "cool kid" attempts.
Well that seals the deal. Shiner Bock is my default beer. :cheers2:
In case you missed it.

Give than man a real audience and I believe he could be highly effective at converting the doubters. Afterall he was for most of his life one of them. That gives him a unique understanging of how they think and of how to speak to them.
Which network where he wouldn’t be preaching to the choir, one other than Fox News, do you think would offer him a show to speak truth to their audience?
It’s a great idea, just not going to happen. Colion and the rest of us are forced to change minds one at a time because of the progressive socialists who control the networks.
Hence why I preface it with "I wish".

Not much chance such a wish will come true but at least he's got a large enough following on YouTube to catch a lot of people outside our gun loving universe.

Funny thing. I am as white as one can get and the race of a candidate never even enters my mind. I vote for the candidate who best represents my concerns. But I hear minorities often admitting to placing a vote for the person who best fits their race. If I did this it would be called racist. They do this and it is acceptable reasoning. Why is this OK?
Not meaning to derail the topic, but it seems that some isms (Racism, Sexism, Ageism come to mind) come with a double standard built in -- at least for folks with little character, who often appear leading the chants against others. I recall something from scripture admonishing those who'd cast the first stone... A person of any color may be racist against people of any color. Even so and inconveniently so in cases you won't see publicized much, racism of any kind is wrong, full stop.

"Shiner, The National Beer of Texas".

Never trust a man who doesn't like Shiner Bock.

THE RISE OF POLITICAL CORRECTNESS
By: Angelo M. Codevilla
What serves progressive revolutionaries’ interests is not in doubt. Although each of progressivism’s branches differs in how it defines society’s “structural” fault, in its own name for the human reality that it seeks to overcome, and in the means by which to achieve its ends, progressives from the 19th century to our time are well nigh identical in their personal predilections—in what and whom they hate even more than in what they love. They see the culture of what Marxists call “bourgeois morality” as the negation of their identity and authority. That identity, their identity, is to be promoted, endlessly, by endless warfare against that culture. That is why the cultural campaigns of otherwise dissimilar progressives have been so similar. Leninist Russia no less than various Western democrats have tried to eradicate religion, to make it difficult for men, women, and children to exist as families, and to demand that their subjects join them in celebrating the new order that reflects their identity. Note well: cultural warfare’s substantive goal is less important than the affirmation of the warriors’ own identity. This is what explains the animus with which progressives have waged their culture wars.
That’s just one paragraph from a long and brilliant article on the subject of political correctness; and explains why we are, in the long term, doomed. They will have their revolution, sooner or later, and lately, it’s looking like sooner.
It's ok. We're better armed, prepared and unlike the vast majority of the whiners on the left we won't sit around complainging expecting someone else to solve the problem for us.

Never pick a fight you can't win.

Like most of whta comes about of this guy's mouth his claim to not take PAC money is in reality a sort of obfuscation. He gets "conduit" PAC money.
There are plenty of sites to look up for the facts. Here's one:

Notice how, again, they are not saying which party is which when it comes to rigging... I mean faulty... election machines.

We should go to paper ballots only. No Straight Party voting allowed, just a list of names and offices they are running for and fill in the blank.

If you're too stupid to vote like that you should stay home and paper ballots are very hard to manipulate once filled out and submitted.

I like the new voting machine we used in Caldwell county. You get blank paper for a ballot. You insert it into a computer that then shows the various options. You vote however you want and then the computer prints the ballot on the piece of paper with your votes. You take the ballot over to another computer that is a scanner. It reads the ballot and computes the votes. This way there is a paper ballot in case anyone wants a full recount. The paper is clearly printed and readable. No hanging chads or partial markings to be interpreted.

You do have to be careful when you vote before the paper is printed, but you get to verify it twice - once in the voting machine and once after it is printed.

I concur.

It would be a helpful measure to insure the integrity of elections.

I especially loath the ones where the candidate pushes out words with zero information content, but encourages voters to vote for him/her...doesn't even tell you if they're R or d.

But the voting public will never catch on...cuz we dumb...no, the sleazy politician and his advisors insultingly underestimate the voting public.

Ever notice how it's usually a democrat that will not let you know what party they are part of? I wonder why that is.

I took my wife to vote yesterday (she was out of town when I voted last week). As I was waiting outside with the dog, I noticed that none of the Democrat candidate signs mentioned their party affiliation, while many of the Republican candidate signs did. Not all (Ted Cruz), but most.
