Finally, I respect Charles Cotton quite a bit. I've read his posts here for years and I've seen him on the News, he's a fantastic individual. That said, I've never taken a seminar where he was the speaker. IF I had AND he said what you have said, I would STILL disagree (respectfully) and do what I said I would do.
I don't believe he ever said any of things I quoted. He also never said that clamming up and saying nothing is the wrong thing to do. People are different and circumstances are always different. I don't have that great of a memory, and don't have notes in hand. I agree that not saying anything is better than saying to much, and that it doesn't take much talking to say too much.

I wasn't really trying to tell anyone what to say, only what I believe What I might say, I do believe though it is easier to prepare for a good defense from home and while collecting a paycheck than it is from jail. I also understand that things work different here in Texas, that advise that we hear from different national experts might not be the best advice for us. Charles seminar was an eye opening for me, and he does take apart a lot of urban legends and rumors. Charles is not just an expert that can clearly explain the law, he is the guy that wrote a good piece of it.

:iagree:

Any time you have a chance to attend a Charles Cotton seminar or class, run...do not walk.

His experience is unique and his information is essential. Ain't gonna get this anywhere else.
