Hulen Mall 30.06?

Post by TexAg08 »

I searched for some info on this and came up with an old article about a robbery at Hulen Mall, and at that time it was not posted with a 30.06. Might be going there this weekend with the folks to do some shopping, so I was wondering if anyone knows if its posted or not? Can't exactly drive back to Granbury to take my gun back to the house if the parking lot or something along those lines is posted.

If the parking lot is posted (very unlikely), bite the bullet, step on the crack in the sidewalk, and just leave the gun in the car.

If the mall itself is posted, but not the lot, see above.

You've got a greater chance of getting hit by lightning than getting in trouble. And I mean that literally. (Look at the stats.)

I did some work in the Hulen Mall last year. It was owned by the Simon Corp. and as of yet, none of there malls that I have been in are posted.

That's the mall closest to me. I go there once in a while. I have never seen 30.06 signs.

Here's the following email conversation that I had with their head of security. The way that I read the email, is that they are not posted.

My email:
Hello,
I am emailing you to inquire about the malls policy on the licensed possession of a firearms on the premises. I would like to know if your mall or parking lot is posted with the legally required 30.06 signs that would make it illegal for me, a concealed handgun license holder, to carry on the malls property. This info would be greatly appreciated so that it would provide no confusion if I chose to shop at the Hulen Mall. Again, thank you for your time.
Response:
Hulen Mall follows and abides by all local, state and federal laws. In the event we become aware that someone has a weapon on property, we will contact the Fort Worth Police Department and let them handle the situation. We will leave it up to the police to determine if the individual is following the law.

I was at Hulen Mall this past week. It was my first time while carrying, so I was paranoid about checking for 30.06. I didn't see any.

Thanks for all the reports on Hulen Mall. Probably be going there tomorrow for some shoppin. Gotta get some new britches that will accomidate my new MTAC holster. I made the first Wally Walk today but wasnt really that nervous about people making me. Didnt buy any ammo though as it was to high, and I can buy it cheaper elsewhere, and also didnt eat the nachos, but I did take a bathroom break. Ill hopefully get a better test tomorrow at Hulen Mall.

Cool. Don't make faces at the mall cops just because you are better armed than them. :)
