PC verbiage for "shoot to stop"

Post by Greybeard »

A student recently dropped off a 2007 DVD from Guns & Ammo's "Personal Firearms Defense" series. The title is "Shooting in Realistic Environments" with Rob Pincus of Valhalia Training Center and, overall, is very well done.

In getting students to focus on a balance of speed and precision with multiple shots to the high center chest, Rob used the verbiage "to significantly affect the target's ability to present a lethal threat". I was amazed at how smoothly that mouthfull flowed off his lips about a dozen times ...

As many of you know, the Texas CHL written test indicates the objective is to "stop". ' Reckon we need to ship our Tejas trainers and test writers up to Montrose, Colorado to get updated on how such is supposed to be stated in a more pollitically correct maner? ;-)
