need help sighting new pistol

Went to the gun show at the Reliant Center yesterday and bought a new Kel Tec PF9 and took it to the range yesterday afternoon. At 10 yds it was shooting about 10" left.
I was aiming completely off the paper to the right to hit the target.
Never had to adjust a rear pistol sight before so ... I should move it right to make it shoot left?!? I will have to go back and bench fire it at a later date but other than that and getting used to the full DAO type trigger (which isn't that bad but I'm used to the XD .40) I'm thinking once I can sight it in it will be a decent little deep conceal summer CHL.
Any help with sighting would be greatly appreciated.

Also anyone have experience with this gun I'd like your input ...

You an buy a laser that's built in to a .40 casing that you can use for "bore sighting" a handgun.
of course I found one in the half-off bin at the last show and I failed to buy it and still regret it.

Turn on laser, insert into chamber, close chamber, adjust sights.

I'm not familiar with the Keltec you have, but, generally, you can use a "drifting tool" to apply the proper pressures while not scratching your gun and move the sights as needed. Unfortunately, a good drifting tool is $$$. Someone may come along and offer to help you use their tool. Or.... Take it to your local Smith and have them make the adjustment. Should be a 5 minute job if they have the tool and a laser..

or... you can go the "not recommended for amateurs" route and use a bench vise, punch and rubber mallet. Take care not to gouge or scratch.

Friend at church yesterday mentioned he just bought a used Kimber 1911 and rear sight was all the way left ... said his wrist didn't flex far enough to line up the sights

I still have to adjust HEIGHT on Glock sights, but not windage.

I'm not implying that YOU don't know this ... but it took ME a while to learn ... so this may benefit others.

Edit: I'm assuming that you're an accurate shooter and that you're not pushing the pistol to the left when shooting ie. that it's the gun and not you

Yeah, see I was wondering the same thing ... Okay new pistol, long trigger pull, DAO type full reset...yada yada yada..maybe it's me. So I got a little frustrated cause Im usually a darn good shooter (and modest) and I unholster my XD .40 and YUP I'm still pretty darn good... all 13 were in the 8,9,10 rings with about a 2" grouping.

So, I hand the Kel Tec to my Son In Law who is a recent ex Navy SEAL and he can't put one on the paper either...
I reload the 9mm and slowly squeeze off another 8 rounds and sure enough I'm about 8-10 inches right before I punch another hole in the paper...

I'm gonna have to find an indoor range and take my time bench firing this troubled new addition...the rear sight is adjustable with an Allen wrench so I'll just mess with it and see what's what... I'm just a little not happy right now..
