Cali university requires free speech permits

If a permit is required prior - then "free speech" isn't free.

California Polytechnic State University-Pomona recently starting requiring their students to get a special permit to exercise their free speech rights as any distributed material must be approved before they would be able to hand it out within the schools ‘free speech zone’.

Surely even in Commiefornia that will go down in flames when challenged in court since it's a public institution.

Quite a few colleges are doing this. I believe this got mentioned during an incident at UC Berkley.

Maybe once upon a time there was "free speech" at colleges but there wasn't when I went to college and there sure wasn't when my sons recently went to college here in Texas. We all knew what we could say and what we couldn't say if we didn't want to be punished with bad grades or worse. Granted, the situation has only gotten worse over time. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.
