Which 9mm JHP ammo exhibits the least flash from a short-barreled pistol like the S&W Shield? I prefer the 124 gr JHPs, but if a 115 gr or 147 gr has less flash, I'd go with one of those weights.

I've never paid much attention to flash. I am interested in hearing any info and the importance of it.

Well I have tried a few in my 9mm shield. I would recommend the 115 grain hornaday critical defense for that. I shot it back to back with the 124 hst standard pressure and gold dots. I couldn't tell the difference between those two but the critical defense was much lighter then the 124 and it just seemed to have less muzzle flash and flip, not that it was bad to begin with.
P.S. I still carry the HST. Stuff is second to none!
