Derf is just me name in reverse. Picked it up back in my LEO days, and it seems to have stuck.

New to the forum.

I tend to sign all my emails/posts as simply "Mac" as my last name begins with a "Mc". I am a martial arts instructor so most call me "Master Mac", which I just shortened on here to MMac.

You wouldn't happen to drive an old T-Bird, wear a pony tail, carry a sword, and be extremely hard to kill on a permanent basis would you? (This is a TV/Movie reference for those not in the know)

j/k

Welcome to the forum.
Thank you sir :-) I wish I still had the hair to have a pony tail - it's all fallen out where I would need it. My swords would create a nice bulge in my pants, but makes it difficult to walk around like that.... Thus the reason I'm insterested in the 9mm instead.

BTW, I drive a Miata convertable or my motorcycle to blow the little bit of hair I have left.

Mac

When you first see my name, it really is not what your would think. Though I do have a small collection of vintage military sniper rifles, It was a nickname given to me by my waterfowl hunting buddies due to my preference to hunt this bird.

DFWTT = Dallas/Ft. Worth Trailer Trash, from my truck driving years. I enjoyed the radio and the harassment of those that thought they could talk over me.. :nono: It was my handle...still is.

Well, I'm born and raised in Texas and kinda play that up when I travel up to Yankee-land. I wear my boots, hat, and tell them my name is Bufford!
Funny part is, they believe me.

One of my co-workers tried calling me by my last name to get my attention and messed it up, so Gindack kinda stuck after that.
