How long has it taken everyone to get their boxes? I signed up for the recall on 11/7 and no box so far....

Well, can't complain, got both of them off to Ruger on the 18th, got one back this morning.....one more to go. Nice LCP cap and one of the new mags with the finger grip. Good service.

Signed up 11/5; got my box 12/23.

The hotline has been closed Wed/Thu/Fri for Christmas and will reopen on Monday, 12/29. The recording didn't say what time, but I'll be calling them that morning.

My father signed up a couple of days after I did and got his box on 12/24.

UPS picked up on Thur. Dec. 18 recieved back on Fri. 26th.

Eight days with a holiday in there is not bad.

Have not had a chance to take it to the range to see if there is a noticable difference.

I finally got my pkg and instructions to send it in.. Will be sending mine in on Friday...

I guess while I'm "naked" without my carry pistol, I will have to walk around with my AR-15 instead (open carry of course)... :biggrinjester:

Called Monday; UPS picked it up Tuesday; and it got to Ruger today.

This .40 is uncomfortable for cleaning the garage and playing Wii. ;-)

EDIT: Yes, I know it's supposed to be more comforting than comfortable, but doggone it, that LCP is both!

Well, I picked up an LCP from Academy today. 370x serial number, diamond stamped, two mags, no pinky extension, and the gray carry box. The carry box in neat is guess, but a locking version would have made more sense.

So what's the general consensus on the best pocket holster?

I use a DeSantis Nemesis and love it!

I read a quote on this forum that the Nemesis let their gun slip out of their pocket. Have you not had this experience?

I've got to admit, this LCP is a sexy little gun. It really does disappear into your pocket!

Look into Meco Pocket Holsters- very nice workmanship, great quality and fast turn around. He'll customize your order and likes to be challenged too -- so if you don't see it on his site, ask him about what you're looking for!!

When drawing the gun, the holster stays in the pocket and the pistol alone comes out. It was designed to do this with a smooth interior and a rough rubber-like exterior.
