The Gen 4 G19 is out. Cheaper than Dirt in Ft. Worth has them. I fondled one there, and it "does" say Gen4 on the slide.

Our local Academy looked them up in their computer and told me some stores have them.Ours will not anytime soon he also said.Some areas do better then others.

If I were ever to buy one, it probably wouldn't be an earlier generation model, since it is the adjustable backstraps and the reversible magazine eject button that would make me consider a Glock. And like I said previously, I probably wouldn't be interested unless it were a .45.

You are correct, they only come in the 9mm and .40. I have a Gen4 G22 that I like quite a bit. The adjustable backstraps are great when my wife wants to shoot it because her hands are smaller (duh, right?).

I think we can safely assume that C is out of the question seeing as how "the Brass" would include bean counters.
With that said we are left with "B", so I guess the Kimbers were better than the Glocks...

Disclaimer I do own Kimber products, many of my friends who are in law enforcement carry them as duty guns. I do not own a Glock as I do not find them interesting nor do they do anything my other handguns don't, but my other friends in law enforcement (the minority) carry them.

Glocks. The function, simple design, and reliability I like a lot. The larger glocks like the 21 fit my hand pretty well. I dont own any Glocks currently but I have no issues with them. Plenty of parts, etc.

Kinda on topic, I went tubing recently on whatever river flows through Gruene, TX. Since I was drinking this time around, I didn't carry. I did however see a LEO wade into the water with a fully loaded belt (handcuffs, extra mags, Glock) to tell some tuber's that their styrofoam cooler was not allowed on the river. Didn't look like he thought twice about doing something that I wouldn't do with any of my guns (none of them Glocks), unless I absolutely had to.

The Glock wont rust, but those handcuffs sure will! I have never seen anything rust like a pair of Smith and Wesson handcuffs....never.

i have a pair in my bedroom that have yet to rust









i bought them when i was planning on becoming a corrections officer but that hasnt happened yet... and no they havent been used....

This thread has gone for awhile but I just want some of you to know that deep inside I am aware that you don't really "hate" Glocks. I also want you to know that we Glock owners "forgive you for you know not what you do(or in this case say)". I refuse to believe that anyone could really hate a Glock and instead choose to believe you are just kidding around.

Guess I don't hate em too bad, I still got one . For all the things I don't like there are about 3 things I do like. Capacity. 13+1 is pretty good for a .45. The finish is durable. And believe it or not I seem to be more accurate with it than anything else I have, including the Sigs. Being a high capacity .45 I think is really why I never got rid of it.

OT: you ever use/see the asp cuffs? I got my SW 100s blood soaked this week (agg asslt family violence...yay) and I'm going to get another two pairs...looking to go the asp route. They are fast in application and super light. Not chunking the smith's but they will be my backup pairs.

OT still: That was why I never carried anything but Peerless. Saw the issues the other guys had with some different brands and with the humidity we had in Southeast Missouri during the summer, I chose to stick with the best ones I ever found. There may be better ones today, but sure liked the quality of mine.

I dated a gal once that liked the Peerless brand.
