Now, the 1-billion dollars questions:
Why in the world the US classified satellite network could not track it!
Where is NORAD?
NORAD is near Colorado Springs, Colorado.

It provides airspace and maritime warning forthe North American continent -- it is a joint operation of the US and Canada. Malaysia is a wee bit outside its sphere of responsibility.
"National Assets" as our friends in the black world like to call them often have very focused missions -- taking high resolution pictures of specific places, monitoring for nuclear explosions, watching for missile launches and the like. Tracking, or even observing, every airplane in the world is a huge mission, and there may very well be no satellites with the particular capability of tracking or observing all flying aircraft. There may not be a satellite system even for focusing on one specific aircraft and tracking it. (And if we do have such a system, we may not want anyone to know about it or how well it works).
There may be a satellite that happened to be pointed at the Malaysia area, and has some kind of surveillance data that did pick up the aircraft as it moved, but someone is going to have to sort through all that data and find that tiny (relatively speaking) object out of all the other planes in the area (air corridors can be quite crowded, actually), and then... decide if we want to let the world know we have the capability to do this. "Spying" on the rest of the world has gotten some bad press lately.)

Oh, someone in that plane knew which lane they were in and which direction they were going. They just werent' telling anyone else (just like your GPS doesn't tell anyone else. At least not yet. If the tax agencies have their way, that will come about sooner or later). There are thousands and thousands of airplanes in the air at anyone time, and there is not the capability (yet) to independently (of the aircraft) to track all of them. Most tracking over open water consists of the pilot telling the air controllers when he leaves a point, where he is, how high he is, and when he is going to get to the next point, either verbally or by IFF transponder, or both. If he stops talking, the aircraft "disappears."
Given the latest reports, I think somebody has himself a new airplane parked someplace...without any passengers on it anymore.

Flew for an additional 7. 5 hours. That would be 90 minutes after it was supposed to land in Bejing.

Although not communicating data with the plane the satellite received "handshakes" from the plane until 8 am in the morning.
Criminal investigation opened.
wow.

The northwest sphere of potential path takes the airplane to Iran/South Russia or so called inner Asia. 2 Iranians boarded with stolen passports. Where is the guy who paid for the tickets?!!

So how are they tracking all the junk in space the size of a paint chip. But can't track a plane.

There are Satellites with Radar on-board. Canada has some of those, I guess US has some more of those and more advanced. They are just in dark side of the space military.

Latest on Drudge. From the map apparently the "military radar" is the satellite that the Rolls Royce engine transmitted to. From what I have learned the only thing they can pick up from the handshake with the engines is how far away the plane was, thus they know a radius from that satellite, but not which way it went. So it could be anywhere on that line. Smart hijackers could have left the engines on till the fuel ran out to mask their stopping point.
A more likely event is they went to the extreme of the range and landed or it ran out of fuel and crashed.
To me a Northerly course and there is a chance the passengers are hostages and alive. The Southerly route and there is no place to land and they are in the water.
They are saying the plane made experienced changes in direction after it went missing. Pointing to the crew or an experienced hijacker, or someone holding a gun to the head of someone and ordering it done.
Apparently the 911 hijackers made similar movements after they took control.
I think everyone is guessing.

This article states that the pilot and first officer are being investigated. It may just be politically motivated, but time will tell.
Pilot Zaharie Ahmad Shah is said to have been a devout supporter of Malaysia’s opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim who was sentenced March 7, hours before the doomed flight took off, to five years in prison on a sodomy charge — a development that many Malaysians regard as political payback. Shah adored aviation, judging by his posts to message boards and social media. He joined Malaysia Airlines in 1981 and had more than 18,000 hours of flying experience.

Malaysia recruits witch doctors to find missing Boeing passenger jet
Ibrahim Mat Zin, famous shaman called ‘king of the witch doctors’ performs ritual at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
Reports say he was invited by government officials.
Malaysian officials, already struggling with their public images after a jetliner with 239 people on board went missing,
have been further embarrassed after a team of witch doctors performed rituals at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport
to find the missing Boeing 777.
"Can't you see how stupid we look in the eyes of the world?" Datuk Seri Anwar, the country's opposition leader, asked parliament on Thursday, according to the Malay Mail.

I know this sounds bizarre, but "witch doctors" are commonly used in Malaysia.
It is not unusual to call in a witch doctor before opening a new building or factory or to bring one in a factory after an outbreak of "hysteria."

The second Billion dollars question:
Where are the countless military Radars from India and China, let alone Pakistan and Russia?

Why would military radar track commercial airliners that are not headed into their airspace?

they just speculated on FOX that India, China, etc aren't coming forward with info because they don't want to show how much info they have and they know there aren't lives to save. I think they are probably right. I think eventually the plane will be found. I think at least one of those countries know exactly where it is.

On the northern/western track, India China and Pakistan have tons of Radars to track anything that pings. Any un-identified blip would result in fighters jet scrambled to intercept.

So why didn't any body scramble fighter jets?

Maybe they did and that is why they are staying quiet. I still wonder if the plane was shot down and the country that did it doesn't want to admit it.

That is a very plausible explanation.
