What does the city look like now? With the virus and BLM no income from taxes. Broadway shows shut down, restaurants shut down. No one will want to visit.

Shirtless man with spear in Times Square cuts teen in forehead requiring stitches. Man fled, but was later caught slashing tires a few blocks away. Apparently shirtless and with a spear still stands out in NYC.
His case for assault from 2018 has still not gone to trial. He pummeled a man with lug nuts in a cloth covering. He has an attorney.
Maybe they will decide he needs to go to a nursing home.

Cuomo tells DeBlasio to clean up the city or he will have to send in the National Guard. Didn't Trump want to do that and Cuomo didn't want them?

I decided I would never visit NYC again, long before all this started. Confirms my decision.

Police union boss tells MTA riders they’re on their own amid violence uptick
PBA President Pat Lynch accused lawmakers of preventing cops from doing their jobs and advised straphangers to “keep both eyes wide open” to avoid being victimized.
“The politicians have made it abundantly clear that they don’t want cops enforcing transit system rules, connecting the homeless with services, engaging with seriously mentally ill people or doing any of the things necessary to prevent these terrifying random attacks,” he said.

Meanwhile, another NYPD union official pointed to the costly mental-health program run by Mayor de Blasio’s wife, Chirlane McCray, which has come under fire for suspect spending and questionable results.

To be fair, if the cops are not enforcing the law now and only cleaning up the mess, they need to not show up later when passengers get tired of this and start throwing mentally ill shovers in front of trains.
