I think they give the Post Office special orders to deliver it as slow as possible.

I agree Preacher mine just went to Manufacturing. Maybe we should contribute to the " Postal Service Ball "? Anyway maybe in a week I'll have mine I really don't know how the "oldtimers" made it 6 months of waiting !!!

Amazing that I can get a package mailed from California on 2/8 and get on 2/10 First Class Mail but it takes forever to get a small envelope 265 miles from Austin!

Recieved 2/11

Wow you guys are getting them pretty fast. I mailed mine on 1/10/12 and mine still says background and finger prints are under review. I hate this waiting.

I mailed the same date and it seemed my status changed that Sat. My background took a while due to a lapse in intelligence back in 1984.

the DPS should look into emailing a temp until your licenses is received in the mail

Appears they update after hours/weekends? (Or rather, at least their system does, since I doubt they have anything other than M-F 8-5 in that office).

I was just updated to Background Check Under Review. It wasn't like that Friday night/Saturday morning when I checked. Woot, a little bit closer.
