That's not what I mean. See this thread:

I have had one instance so far where the LCP slipped out of my pocket and the Nemesis while I was reclining in a lazy boy. When i stood up, my pocket felt too light and I found the LCP wedged in the chair. That will not happen with the other mentioned holsters.

I use a Nemesis holster and my LCP has never fallen out of my pocket.

That's never happened to me, either, but my conditions are different. I've never reclined or laid down with it in my pocket, and I wear blue jeans which give the pistol in my pocket a snug fit.

That guy claims it won't happen with other holsters but clearly he is inexperienced as he doesn't own those other holsters.

I guess what I'm saying is take one person's bad experience with a grain of salt.

Like the other replies above, I too have an LCP and Desantis Nemesis. I love the holster (how it looks and feels) and never once have I thought it would even remotely come close to falling out of my pocket (or the gun out of the holster). I frequently lay out in my lazy boys (costo electric theater recliners) and watch movies regularly, and this has not happened. I also lay down sometimes on my couch and nap or on my daughter's bed as I'm trying to get her to sleep, or on the floor fiddling with my computer cables or home theater cables. The LCP is so small and compact it doesn't even dig into your thigh and I'm tipping almost 300lbs so I'm not small person.

But YMMV -- so I would just keep testing until you find the one that you like, and then return or resell the others. That is what a lot of ppl I know do (they have multiple holsters until they find the perfect one). I am lucky the Desantis was perfect for me and it was my first LCP holster, so I didn't have to spend a lot of money doing trial and error with other holsters.

You can read more about LCP holsters on lcpforum.com, fyi - they have a whole sub forum on holsters... Although beware, most of the lurkers in that sub-forum are selling your their own leather style handmade holsters, and will charge you a pretty penny for it too..

I use an Uncle Mike's Sidekick size 1. It's a pocket holster, and they had it at the shop where I bought the LCP.

I've had no problems with it. I've not tried any others, though.

That guy was wearing loose fitting slacks at the time. If by inexperienced, you mean no experience with the LCP and other holsters, you are correct; however, that guy has two other pocket pistols that have "other" holsters with which he has had no problems. Did i say that right? It's hard to write in the third person when speaking of oneself. ;-)

Sorry to be on topic. Just wanted to give another recall report. Box received last week. Mailed off on Weds. Ruger says i should have it back within 2 weeks. One other item to mention. They tell you in the instructions to call for pickup scheduling. They will also allow you to print out a mail label they will email you if you want to just drop it off at ups yourself and save time waiting around for them to call.

LCP came home today. Got the stamp on the slide (and the scraped it up a little bit....if it wasn't a carry I might be more upset) Only other noticeable change is the slide hold open latch which is much improved. Does anyone know of these "other" improvements they mention on the recall sheet that came back with it?

I got the mailer the day before Christmas Eve and found after calling that their offices were closed for four days... Xmas through the weekend. Okay, so on Monday I called first thing and was told I'd be emailed a UPS label and that the whole process would take about 8 days (she even said "including shipping"). New Year's was of course three days away, so I immediately printed up the label, gave UPS a call and the brown was at the house in about three hours. The box with my baby in it was delivered in Arizona on Tuesday 12/30.

It's been two weeks now so I gave the folks at Ruger a holler today and (in a very friendly way) was told my gun was still there... and sorry, there was no indication in her records as to when it might be finished and ship.

Actually I don't mind waiting a day or so more (I hope) if it comes back all fixed up and ready to go. I've already broken that puppy in with 400 or so rounds and hope it's just as reliable.
How long is everyone waiting on average?

Almost identical timeline to kirock7 (except I wasn't offered the printable label option and hadn't read about it on here yet, so I shipped it 12/30, and they received it 12/31).

Just called, same story, very polite. Backlog because of the holiday, no specific status.

Did you guys get your LCP back yet? Mine is going on three weeks now. I called them yesterday and she told me they had parts on backorder and no longer had an ETA for return. Her attitude was "don't expect it back anytime soon". Don't get me wrong, she was very nice, but the news wasn't good.

I was so impressed by my experience. Most of us "early birds" got their pistol back within 2 or 3 days. I feel sorry for those people who have the LCP as their only carry pistol and are stuck without it for "who knows how long".

Three weeks here also....I was hoping for a speedy turn around after reading others stories. :bigear:

Same here. I've had to adjust my wardrobe, but I'm OK.

I called again today and was told my pistol had shipped and should be here tomorrow. Interesting thing was that the lady (while looking up my serial #) said "let's see if you got under the wire... we had a problem at the end of last week with one of the parts... Oh, good it looks like yours was the last one to be shipped".
I didn't ask what the problem was in particular, but when looking at the UPS shipping info, it looks like it actually shipped last Thursday two-day... but it won't be here until Wednesday? Go figure. :headscratch
That makes it a day over 3 weeks for total out of pocket time.
