Too bad he didn't have the cajones to come out and call Obama a Socialist/Communist-wannabe when he had the chance. He probably would have garnered a few votes in the process.
You're assuming he didn't have a similar plan. Looking at MA gun laws he signed, and is own brand of communist health care, I'm not so sure.
Besides people who said that about Obama got called crazy uncles or tin foilhat conspiracy theorists. By Republicans. You have to wonder if they prefer Obama to a conservative who might upset the apple cart by respecting the United States Constitution more than the status quo.

I don't know. Some here think that we should use diplomacy and try to win the antigunners and commies over to our side. We would not want to alienate those that want to take away more of our freedom and rights.

As to the diplomacy and politeness crowd, I'll quote an old style conservative....the kind we used to have before the law got passed that requires all Republican Congressmen to be neutered once they take office.
Extremism in the pursuit of Liberty is no vice; moderation in the pursuit of Justice is no virtue.

I like this BG quote myself...
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them. It is not to inaugurate new programs, but to cancel old ones that do violence to the Constitution, or that have failed their purpose, or that impose on the people an unwarranted financial burden. I will not attempt to discover whether legislation is "needed" before I have first determined whether it is constitutionally permissible. And if I should later be attacked for neglecting my constituents' "interests," I shall reply that I was informed that their main interest is liberty and that in that cause I am doing the very best I can.

Sounds like Gary Johnson's platform. Of course, we all know where that went
