They had pretty much all calibers in stock, but no 9mm SD rounds.
Do you happen to remember the price on the umc .45?

Wal-Mart in League City/Dickinson (FM646 @ I-45) had nine 100-round boxes (@21-something) and about forty 50-round boxes ($11.47) of WWB 9mm this afternoon.

They also appeared to have the same forty-or-so 50-round boxes of Federal .40S&W and a few boxes of .44 magnum.

Still no .380 or .45

Hello, all.

I'm a new forum member (finally) that has been silently reading and learning for months - great general information and an incredible source of TX CHL specific knowledge. I'm in the Dallas area and will be off to take my CHL class in late January :txflag: .

Stopped by the WalMart in Dallas at Forest and Abrams - they had about 40 boxes of Federal 9mm 115 FMJ for $9.47/box. No WWB, 50 or 100 rd. I usually find my 9mm up at the WalMart at the Tollway and Park Lane in Plano. Academy at Tollway and Parker in Plano has lately had plenty of 9mm Monarch (Steel and Brass case), Remington, UMC, along with a few boxes of Hornady SD.

I haven't been able to find any .45 in Austin lately. Anyone else have any luck?

Wal-Mart (i45 and Louetta)

9mm: A few boxes (Federal $9.47/50)
.40: To many to count
.45: nadda
.380: nadda

Wondering if we should start a thread for each store until they start being regularly stocked. Looks like we get consistent reports for Wal-Mart and Academy.

Thoughts?

:iagree:

Also, maybe by area? I love reading about ammo in Houston, but I can't get there from North Dallas quick enough :biggrinjester:

I went to Academy again today during my lunch break to pick up some more boxes and the guy said that they just sold a whole case (2000 rounds) to someone earlier in the morning. I guess the limit is employee based... But please leave some for the rest of us :]

I went to Wallyworld looking for anything I could find. Needed some 38sp for my revolvers found a box then noticed when I got home it had a +P on it. Seeing as how I am new to all this what does +P mean? Does it mean I can't use it in a revolver? :banghead: Don't everyone laugh, but I had no idea there was such a thing as target ammo and/or personal protection ammo. Are there any books I can buy to read up on ammo? Only real thing I know is if you have a 25 need to buy 25 ammo- and so on and so forth. I know not to try to load something other than the right caliber. Really do need to know what the difference is in regular 38SP and 38SP+P. Thanks all :???:
