you're absolutely right...they probably have like a "CHL Most Anxious Board"...you know...kinda like the FBI 10 most wanted....they probably find all kinds of ways to prolong the top 10 just so for their own humor
knightx wrote:i hope they DON'T have a hit counter.....
they might get a little concerend if you look TOO anxious LOL
(besides, i know when people start pressing me for immediate results here at my job, i start to "misplace" paperwork)

I bet you complete pretty soon, FOM. You've barely been processing for 1 month, and you had 2 sorta major holidays in that mix.... I predict you go to "complete" before the 20th.
So speaks the Swami. ;)

After sending off my proof of 'Merican-ship, and the DPS receiving it on 12/22/08, my status finally changed back to "Processing Application" on 1/6/09. I would be surprised it took that long, but perhaps that means that they have confirmed my 'Merican-ship.
Time to advance the day-counter.

gomowdude, Broncrider, what counties are you in? I'm just a few days ahead of you on the "received in Austin" date, but I get to deal with a Harris County address...
Good luck, y'all - hang in there!

I honestly don't know how the folks who went 90, 100, 125, 150 and more days handled it. I wasn't quite impatient yet at 30 days I I got sat-is-faction quickly after....

me neither... I can't imagine the pure agony some of the guys that submitted their apps in the middle of the summer and are just now getting their plastic now must have gone thru!
another couple of "dings" on the ol counter for me today with no new news....still processing.
you ever check it so much that you wonder if your just seeing one thing (because that's all you've ever seen it say) when it may actually say something different?

hmmmm...maybe need to get someone else to check it for me

have a good one guys...and hold out hope for tomorrow!

I am a neighbor of Broncrider, gomowdude here reporting from Tarrant county. Hey KingOfDirk, any responses from your emails to your Rep, Sen and the Gov? Maybe I can start composing my emails to kill some wait time in case I need to send them on day 61! I read all over this forum that Harris is S L O....W too bad you had to submit under a Harris address. Good luck to you though! Logged about 8 checks on the DPS website today... bet they're getting tired of me! oh well.... the wait continues.

fisher of man - I totally check the DPS website so much that I think it will ever only say one thing. In fact, I have this habit of closing the web page so fast out of frustration that I bet the day it changes, I will just zip through my routine so fast that I wont even notice the change! Probably have to check it a few times just to be sure it really says something different!! I wish the DPS would upgrade the website to UPS tracking info, maybe telling you whose desk its on, what paperwork they are checking on, etc. I guess thats asking too much.
