My whole life, 28yrs. Be nice to us younger guys, we choose your nursing home. I never got into politics much until all this anti gun legislation was introduced on the Federal level. Its all new to me but I enjoy learning about it.anygunanywhere wrote: We only ALLOW them to meet every other year.

Maybe it's changed in recent years, but part of the core curriculum (required for graduation) in Texas high schools used to be "U.S. Government" which focused on the U.S. Constitution and the federal structure (legislative, judicial and executive branches), but also included a section on the State Government which covered how and when the State Legislature is in session. I know when I was in school, I had to have Texas Government as part of graduation but that doesn't mean I retain everything either. Another interesting fact that most outside of Texas don't realize, except for the Secretary of State, all executive officers are elected independently.
