My background check took one week. There was a long weekend in there though. I submitted on 1/6 and received plastic yesterday, 1/24. just checked status again today......RetNavy wrote:emailed all forms in 14 Jan 2014, checked status 17 Feb 2014 showing still waiting for receipt of required documents... sent a nice email asking for a update 19 Feb, no answer back just a receipt confirmation that they received my email..checked status this morning

you and me both ... I submitted electronically on 1/6/14 and NOTHING. I called them today and they said they were missing my CHL 100 but uploaded that with the other docs they show to already have!!! Wow! Congrats! No such luck here. Status update same day as you, but BG still under review. No criminal history excluding 3 or 4 moving violations in my life (a couple were deferred), 3 addresses in the same county over the last 10 years. I don't mind, though. Here's my timeline:
1/12/2014 - paperwork mailed
2/25/2014 - first update online
2/25/2014 - status reads as manufacturing pending
It seems to me I was only in the "background check" stage for a day or less. I checked yesterday and still had the old message saying awaiting retrieval of materials. I also never submitted my paperwork online (submission errors).
Now I wait...

The status as of now is waiting for the background check. I did not receive any status updates until yesterday. I submitted my paperwork last month around January 10.
