Tis beggin' your pardon, Sir.

Obama is not a national joke, he is a national disgrace.
Ding, Ding, Ding! We have a winner!

As if any person he chose could touch Scalia's boot laces. Seriously, knowing Obama will try to replace him with someone who will destroy his life's work, it seems even more insulting than not attending the funeral.
Oh that's rich. So he and his advisors sat down and said, "How can we get the maximum insult value out of Scalia's funeral?" Their answer was, "Let's say he can't attend the funeral, because he' has to begin his homework on Scalia's replacement.
I didn't think it was possible for me to get more disgusted by this guy, but I just did. He hate America and everything it stands for, and he's bent on finishing his destruction before he leaves office.
And now the American people are narrowing down the POTUS choices to a criminal, a communist and a complete buffoon. I suppose it's a fitting end to the great Republic.
Did Obama or his staff actually say that or was it sarcasm by the poster?
No, that was the actual reason given by the White House. It was on an evening mainstream news station the same day as the funeral. They even showed a picture of Obama walking with a large binder under his arm supposedly containing his first choices being considered.

Obama supposedly considering moderate (read: socially liberal) governor of Nevada, Brian Sandoval.

I don't know much about him, but am surprised that Obama would consider him.

I'm curious to know just who would want to the be the sacrificial nominee?
Anyone accepting the nomination is sure to be shot down (IF the Senate even agreed to consider confirmation).
I sure as heck wouldn't want to be first in line.

Maybe that's the plan with Sandoval.

I don't know much about this Sandoval guy but I can't imagine he's what we need on the court if Obama likes him.
If Obama truly wants to show he's bipartisan by nominating a Republican governor, he'd nominate Greg Abbott. I imagine we'd all gladly eat our words and demand McConnell confirm.
