I've had my CHL about 3 weeks.
I carry a S&W M&P .9C and I have a Springfield XD .40 4" that is too big to carry, but it's fun on the range.
I see there aren't many women here, but hopefully that will change. Our daughter can't wait till she's 21 so she can get her CHL.

I've been visiting the forum and reading posts even before I mailed in my packet. I finally decided to register and maybe give myself an opportunity to participate in the discussions. A year ago I would never have expected to be sitting here at my computer with a gun in my IWB holster. I went from being ambivalent about guns to somebody who has now developed a keen interest in the policies and issues concerning gun control. I come from a family where almost nobody owns a gun for protection even by simply keeping one in the house. I'm the first. I would like to think that being given the opportunity to own a weapon and being allowed oneself to assert their right to protect themselves makes each and every one of us more responsible not only for ourselves but for the people around us thereby making us better citizens.

Been CHL for 6 months now. Not new to firearms in any sense.
Divorced for long time now. Have 4 wonderful grandkids though. Shooters up & coming!
Teach diesel mechanics at a 2 year college. Have wide and varied interests, but top ones include firearms, barbershop quartet, ham radio. Dabble in photography, computers, woodworking and others.
This looks like a good site with lots of useful information. I've been looking in from time to time and decided that I just might have something to say on occasion. Have managed to talk 2 folks I know into getting their CHl.
