Emma is in recovery as I write this and the family will be able to see her soon. Surgeon removed as much infection as possible and said the valve was weakened by the infection and was leaking. Pre-op MRI revealed no new stroke indications. Approximately two weeks in hospital and at minimum 6 weeks antibiotics with home care IV's. I'm sure there will be doctor visits for assessments. Our God is good. I worry about one thing, though, She has had so many supporters at the hospital during the whole ordeal and by many I am talking 30-40 persons at a time, I worry that her parents and siblings could be exposed to Covid that could expose her if they happen to come down with a case. Just have to trust in the Lord. Thank you one and all for your prayers and support.

Our granddaughter, Emma, is recovering well. She will be receiving continual antibiotic infusions for at least 6 weeks, but after her release, hopefully Monday next week they will be done with home nursing. MRI's, lung X-rays, Eco's all good thus far and her chest tube was removed yesterday. According to her surgeon she will be able to resume normal activities, including her Basketball and Volleyball after her sternum is healed. Praising God for his many blessings in Emma's recovery and for guiding all the doctor's, nurses and staff at Cook Children's hospital. And a huge thanks to the hundreds of prayer warriors on her side , including everyone here. God Bless.

So great to hear. Praise God.
I was so worried after you description of her illness. These wild internal illnesses are very scary.
