Yah..I go with the other posters

No news report...even the ones with assault rifles or whatever slathered all over them = didn't happen

The media will jump in both feet even before they know 1/10th the facts just for the sake of the "shock and awe" of a gunfight so they can demonise the goodguys and stir up fear...it sells more papers

I thought this thread was going to explain some things.

Nothing new compared to the first.

Regardless of the outcome, hemi needs our prayers.

If the story is true, and he's suffering from PTSD, he needs our prayers.

If it was only a dream, and it was so vivid, he thinks it really happened, he needs our prayers.

If someone hijacked his account and posted it to get him in trouble, he needs our prayers.

If he made the whole thing up, he needs our prayers.

Let's leave it at that. (IMHO)

+1 no matter my opinion on validity, no matter the reasoning...

Hemi,

Small town politics I understand, Corporate PR cover I understand, your need to communicate with like minded people I understand.

I appreciate your willingness to share insider information here.

The thing I hope you understand is that you'll need to bring collabrative data with you in order to establish credibility on the board. By our common interests, we all want to support you, but everyone is also by nature, skeptical of the account you've presented, until another source can verify it.

Can you work on providing a third party source to validate the encounter?

Thanks and hang in there!

Nothing in the Worcester paper...nothing in the Boston Globe...and my cousin in Worcester doesn't remember hearing anything about it, either.

"Texan with unlicensed gun fights armed robbers, wins" is the sort of headline I'd expect would make the front pages of any Massachusettes newspaper, but there's nothing about this story.

I don't understand how the media could not be all over it.

Is this some sort of a test to gage people's responses to a self-defense story by a CHL-er?

I think its been pretty much decided to be a false story...you guys should probably just leave it be and let it fade away.

I think the headline would read:

Texan Murders 3 Citizens Who Were Trying To Get Home Medications On Welfare Plan

If it were to turn up to be true.

Hemi,

Please give enough info to a moderator to confirm your story if you can't do so here to everyone.

don't think you realize there's enough info to already discount the story at this point in time...
