I never stated that signs or posters were a factor in any homicide or other criminal case. I stated that a DA could present this at a grand jury, not at a criminal trial. I also said that I thought they could convey bad a message to other people.

I'd be more concerned about his being presented as evidence at a civil suit type trial.

This is
extremely rare and almost
never happens.

My point is that I don't want to send a message that I
want to shoot someone [because I
don't want to shoot anybody]. I don't want my neighbors, coworkers, the police, the DA or a jury to think that I was
looking to shoot someone. I believe some of the signs discussed would give that impression. Inside your house, garage or the game room, they might be good for a laugh, but outside is a different story. Of course, some people might have a different sense of humor than I.
I like the no soliciting sign that says: "We shoot every third salesman. The second one just left." So, you think that might sound too trigger-happy, huh?
Oh, well, I guess we'll just have to settle for the old standby: "No Solicitors."

Don't have the nerve to actually buy and post it, though.
Or:
"My Doberman makes it to the fence in 2.8 seconds, CAN YOU"?

I actually have that up on my fences, except it's for my German Shepherd. My wife works in insurance and she told me to put up warning signs. According to them, if you don't and someone walks in through the fence and they get attacked by the dog, you get sued because you didn't give them warning. I thought that was ridiculous, but then I found those signs and put them up. She didn't agree with me or my friends that it was funny, but they're still up.
