Check CompTac.com, also. Good quality belts with a Kydex insert...and great holsters (I own a dozen of 'em). IMHO, the best customer service out there.

My primary carry is a Kimber Ultra CDP, cocked-and-locked.

I carry a Kimber UCII cocked and locked, and I've never had the safety unintentionally unsafed. Ditto on the magazine size. The folks at Kimber told me specifically not to use 8 round mags, so I bought 2 extra 7 rounders online from Kimber and carry them as well. I bought my holster, mag carriers, and belt from D.M. Bullard - all outstanding quality. The belt makes all the difference. I don't really notice the extra weight of 2 mags.

Using larger than 7 rd mags in a CDPII WILL NOT damage the feed ramp. Using a larger than standard mag in any 1911 runs the risk of the mag catch not engaging the mag thus allowing the mag to project higher than normal which may result in damage to the extractor. I routinely use mags from my TLE in my carry CDP while at the range, but I make sure the mag catch engages the mag properly.

Enjoy your CDPII... it is the best shooting 1911 I have ever used... and I say that from over 31 years of active Army service where I carried a 1911 until they Army wimped out to the 9mm. I like the CDP better than my TLE. Just got a Springer EMP for my bride of 40 years, but I still prefer the CDP.

Ditto. I have the Kimber Ultra Covert and carry in the Crossbreed super-tuck also. The IWB Crossbreed has molded itself for a very comfortable carry. In time you will have no issues with carrying in condition 1. Just keep your finger off the trigger until your ready to fire and your good to go safely.
