There are many vodkas much better than Absolut. I think Absolut got to where they are just by the mostly clever advertising. Try the vodka from next door to Sweden - Finlandia. Pretty good stuff.

I understand the implications, however, getting all hot and bothered over an advertisement, when we do so very little to stop the actual invasion, seems silly to me. It is a legitimate concern, yes, but again, the energy could be better focused imho.
In any event, I don't drink Vodka either way, whiskey or Long Island Ice Teas for me :)

I don't drink fermented tater squeezin's either. No taste.
Jack Daniels straight up as a rule or Maker's Mark on the rocks if I am splurging.

It takes very little energy for me to not buy Absolut.
