Daltex1, I started my son out on .22LR with an itty bitty boy sized rifle when he was about 7 years old.

He turned 18 in January, and here's what he shoots now. It's his rifle, a Savage 10FP-HS Precision in .308, paid for with his money:

Oh, and he's a pretty good shot with it too. I must have done something right. :mrgreen:

What I do is put on some good metal. Listen to that on the way to the range, and them gunshots are relaxing! :lol:
