Suit yourself. I know of people that applied after you that are getting issued very soon. So while you are not calling/complaining or whatever you call it, others are getting issued before you.
Sorry, I forgot that sarcasm is hard to read on a computer screen. I forgot to put the :grumble or the  smilie.

If I honestly thought it would do a bit of good to call or email them, I would. I don't think it will make a bit of difference. Well, actually, it might have a reverse affect than what I want.

"Hello, DPS CHL licensing, how can I help you?"

"Well, I wanted to ask why it's taking so long to do my application."

"I see. What was your name sir?"

"My name is XXXXXXX XXXXX. Can you check on that for me?"

"Sure. Hold on the line a moment, please"

*hold music*

"Sir, we are processing your application. It will be 6 to 8 weeks before you get an answer" *slides application to the bottom of pile* "Thank you and have a nice day"

This is the way my luck usually runs. :cryin :banghead:

I do believe a variation of this has happened to me.

yea, reluctantly i just called them, and they said that it was been issued, it won't go in the mail until tomorrow, and that the website is just behind on the updates. I then asked her point blank. "so you are sure that my license has been issued and it will go out tomorrow?" Then she said yes. I said AWESOME. she laughed. I'm sure yours is coming up next. today is day 94 for me.

I just called them to check the status. As of today (June 11) my application hasn't even been entered into the system yet. It's been about 50 days since they received the application, and it hasn't even been entered into the computer?

Glad Utah came through for me in time or I'd be pretty upset.

Aha! That's why my son's application was processed so much more quickly than mine. The feds have to review my WHOLE ARMY CAREER! I guess they're spending too much time reading through my award narratives, or efficiency reports, or maybe even the 'black' section I can't tell anyone about. Or perhaps they have a problem with that incident in the Fort Sill Officers' Club back in '79 that I don't remember very well. 93 days and counting...
