I'd love to test this for you. Would you like me to PM my address, so you can send me an iPhone? Because they're mostly unavailable right now, I'm willing to wait a couple of weeks until iPhone 2.0 hits the stores...

I know I'll be able to do this for Smartphones. I'll make two different interfaces for the 320x240 and 240x320 screens.

As for touchscreen, I don't have enough information at this time to determine if I'll be able to do this. Plus, I have no touchscreen device to test it on. Once I start working on the SP version, I may come across some information to let me know.

Also, if there are any other Software Developer types who want to DO the touchscreen version, let me know. I'll make it modular so all you need to do is the interface part. That way, we can get this out to everyone faster. =-]
If this becomes available for Smartphones I would love to be a beta tester. I have a Sprint Motorola Q9c and would be more than willing to contribute to a Smartphone version. 3006.com is an amazing resource for us and a mobile version is, in my opinion, the next logical step for the concept. I know this is probably WAY in the future, but a tie in with google maps or Windows live search is probably the ultimate use of this service. A GPS-enabled map of the mobile user's current location, including pro- and anti- carry locations would be amazing!

I am sure this is an insane question, but bear with me as I am strictly a Mac / iPhone junkie. Do smartphones have a standard web browser or are you limited to just specially designed text based web sites like my old RAZR was? I guess a simpler question would be, can you look at texas3006.com from your smartphone?

If so, let me delete the snippet of code that only allows iPhones to view my web site and you can tell me if it will work on your phone or not.

Essentially, you use the navigation buttons to "browse" a page. It's treated kind of like a TAB key on a normal browser, but it goes line-by-line. If no link is found, none is highlighted. If one IS found, it is highlighted for you to navigate to the URL. Browser-based pages can be utilized on any device unless there's something special about them that I'm not aware of...
