One thing to keep in mind... we are trying to STOP a threat, not KILL a person...in which case the little .380 was sufficient.
Also, lets not forget many people have been killed with a well placed .380 (or as it was called during the height of its popularity, 9mm Kurz) to the back of the skull.

The important thing to remember is, at least one of the good guys was armed.

I am agnostic on the following question but several people have sent me Private Messages (probably due to my comment that I have not found info on this inicident by Googling) indicating that they think this story might not be kosher.

Remember, I am not making an accusation, but relaying feeling expressed privately to me and having some weight due to being unable to locate a news or TV reference.

Also note that our member poster might have heard this story legitimately from a "friend" who didn't tell it quite right either.

I would love to find a reference, or here what happens when the poster asks his friend about the police report....
