- JimYour article, "Bid to allow guns in national parks," contains a list of states that allow concealed-carry permit holders or licensees to carry handguns in state parks. . Texas was erroneously omitted from that list. It is legal for a concealed handgun licensee to carry in Texas state parks.

Concealed-carry holders have proven to be exemplary law-abiding citizens over the years. They commit offenses at a far lower rate than the population in general. No license holder would endanger his licensed status by poaching or other unauthorized shooting in a park or anywhere else.
